Biking
The Heart of Georgia Altamaha area is an excellent place to get outsides and ride a bike. The weather is mild in the spring and fall and most winter days are warm enough to be outside. Summers are hot and precautions should be taken to avoid becoming over heated.
There are six local bicycle events in the area. Cruisin’ in the Country Century with includes, Evans, Tattnall, Candler and Bulloch counties; Sweet onion Century goes through Toombs, Candler, Montgomery, Tattnall and Treutlen counties; Saint Patrick’s Day Century bike through Laurens County; Biking Bleckley Metric 100 bikes through Bleckley County; Another Bloomin Bike Ride has a routes in Candler County and Southern Pride Agricultural Ride (SPAR) which includes routes in Wayne and ApplingCounty.
